Sonoda & Kobayashi Intellectual Property Law is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a half day seminar together with global IP law Firm, Murgitroyd and the EU Japan Technology Transfer Desk, which will address the cutting edge technologies of Internet of Things (IoT) and 3D printing and their application to IP in Europe and Japan.
The seminar will take place in Tokyo at the Delegation of the European Union to Japan on Thursday, 1 March, 2018 from 13:30 and there will be a reception from 17:30.

At an event related to intellectual property in Asia, hosted by Managing Intellectual Property, Akira Fujii, Diane Beylier, and Nicole Bigler presented a panel discussion with the theme of “Patents and Trademarks in Japan: Prosecution and Litigation Key Points and Advice.” Akira Fujii was presented with “the most inventive slide” at this event. At the conference for monetization of intellectual property hosted by ie-net vzw, speaker Nicole Bigler, presented a discussion concerning monetization of intellectual property in Japan, with the theme of “Case Studies-Best Practices-Approaches and Tools.” Many people, including those from Belgium, where the conference was held, and many others involved in intellectual property from neighboring countries (people from corporate intellectual property divisions, patent attorneys, and those from the investment community) attended this conference, and a lively discussion ensued.
