Jacobus SONDERHOFF

European Patent Attorney

Following completion of his university education in physics, Jacobus SONDERHOFF worked for a large industrial corporation in Munich first as a development engineer and then as a patent engineer, followed by his independent work for European patent law firms and industry. In 2009, he continued his career at a patent law firm in Tokyo as a technical advisor in the electrical engineering section and as an account manager in the marketing section. From 2016 to 2019 he worked at a Zurich-based patent law firm and deepened his experience in European patent practice and in business development with a focus on Asia. He then returned to Japan to work as a technical advisor, technical translator, and business development associate at a patent law firm in Tokyo. Jacobus joined us in December 2023. He speaks German, English, Japanese and French.
