Yoshinori Kobayashi studied at the Kobe University where he received his BS and MS in chemical engineering. After working for the Daio Paper Company as an engineer, his career in the field of intellectual property began in 1981, when he entered an intellectual property law firm where he was able to broaden his expertise to cover legal aspects of chemical and biochemical inventions. His frequent stays in Europe throughout his career have given him a command of the English language which is rare among non-native speakers.　

Takashi NAKANO, PhD

BS, MS, PhD, Materials Physics and Chemistry, Kyushu University

Research Engineer, Central Technology & Research Center, Nippon Oil Co.; Research Associate, Art, Science & Technology Center for Cooperative Research, Kyushu University; Research involved organic synthesis, photochemistry, laser spectroscopy, photonic materials and nanotechnology. Has been in the intellectual property field since 2004 as a Patent Engineer putting his wide technical background to good use.

Sota HORIE, PhD

BS, MS, PhD, Life Science, Kyoto University

After graduate study, worked as research fellow at University of Tokyo Graduate School of Medicine. Research involved development of drug delivery systems for cancer therapy. Specializes in organic chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology. Dr. Horie joined the firm in 2010.
